First Poker Success
One small chip for man. One... giant chip for moonrat-kind
I’m not very good at poker. I tend to get bored quite quickly, so even when I’m in a good position I’ll get a good hand and lose a load of chips as my blind focus thinks that only I could possibly have a good hand. Which mainly turns out wrong.
But today….. well today I conquered the jinx of never winning a table. I’ve had a couple of 2nd places, and many 3rd places, but never a win. I nearly went out bored; there was 1 guy with 4000+ chips, with the other 3 of us on around 1500 chips, all refusing to commit in case we went out. However, for once, instead of going gung ho recklessly, I stepped up the aggressiveness, becoming one of those players who puts you in awkward situations, pressuring you into tough decisions. That combined with a few good hands led to me grinding down the other players.
